We established the IndieProducer Screenwriting and Short Film Contests to extend a hand to filmmakers currently outside of the Hollywood system. We believe there is a wealth of untapped talent out there, many of whom simply don’t have the access or experience to get their work seen.
What makes IP so unique is that we are working filmmakers, so we have strong relationships with top professionals in the Entertainment Industry. By entering the IP Contests, you gain access to these relationships, because our judges are made up of Oscar-nominated screenwriters, award winning producers and directors, and a variety of managers and agents. This means that even if your script or short film is not a finalist, your work may be seen by someone who could actually hire you.
The contest winners receive cash prizes and trophies presented at the prestigious IndieProducer red carpet awards Gala in Beverly Hills, where celebrities and Industry professionals mingle with the nominees. Winners are also given the chance to meet with top industry managers, agents, and studio executives, all in the spirit of furthering the filmmaker’s career. Over the years, many of the screenplays submitted to IndieProducer have gone on to be optioned and developed by production companies.
Who knows, yours could be next.
